Message from the President's Office - NOVA Spring 2021 Plans

Northquest

We miss you in our classrooms, in our offices, and in our hallways. Your presence adds a special vitality to NOVA and our campuses. Yet, this is an academic year unlike any other, and the challenges posed by the pandemic that led us to start this year remotely have not appreciably changed. As much as we would love to return fully to campus life, your health and safety comes first. So, today, I write to share that NOVA will remain largely remote for Spring 2021 classes.

NOVA's Return to Campus Plan

Events In Northern Quest

NOVA remains committed to the health and safety of our students and employees. While much remains uncertain about the future impacts of COVID-19, this plan outlines NOVA’s safety considerations for limited on-site instruction, services and operations during the fall semester. This plan is grounded in a commitment to follow all Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Virginia Department of Health (VDH) guidelines for COVID-19 safety. The College is prepared to follow Virginia’s guidance on both easing and reinstating public health restrictions as the situation changes. This plan has been reviewed by the State Council of Higher Education and has been found to be compliant in containing the required components of the ‘Higher Education Reopening Guidance,’ which was developed in consultation with the Virginia Department of Health.
